New Engineering Contract (NEC) Professional Training

Following the Development Bureau’s full implementation of NEC contracts for public works projects in 2025, the Estates Office (EO) took a proactive approach by initiating comprehensive NEC training well ahead of the approval of new projects.

With the redevelopment of Patrick Manson Building endorsed as a fully NEC-based subvented project, HKU is set to be a pioneer in adopting the NEC framework within the tertiary education sector. Through sustained professional development efforts, EO has successfully cultivated a strong pool of NEC-certified professionals and is well equipped and ready to make this project a success.
